The Liberation Scholarship Programme

The Liberation Scholarship Programme offers scholarships to highly motivated students from Canada who would like to study in the Netherlands for three to twelve months and become part of the long-standing historic ties between the two countries.

To celebrate seventy years of liberation and honour the sacrifices Canadian soldiers made for our freedom, the Netherlands launches the Liberation Scholarship Programme, as a token of lasting gratitude and friendship.

A large number of scholarships in the Liberation Programme have already been issued. An additional, second, round has been introduced in 2016 uniquely for students staying up till 3 months maximum.

You are eligible for the Liberation Scholarship Programme if:

  • You meet the specific entry requirements of The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
  • You submit a short motivational letter.
