Please check the entrance requirements of the bachelor programme of your choice.
The Hague University of Applied Sciences does not charge prospective students any fees for diploma evaluation and evaluation of language skills.
English language skills
Since our international Bachelor programmes are taught entirely in English, you will need a good command of the English language, both spoken and written. Bachelor candidates who were educated in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada (except for Quebec!), Australia, New-Zealand, South Africa or Malta, or students holding a diploma (including English as an exam subject) stated on this diploma list, need not take an English proficiency test. All other prospective students are required to hand in a valid and sufficient TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), TOEIC, IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or Cambridge ESOL (CAE/CPE) certificate to the Enrolment Centre.

If you have not quite reached the level you need to enrol for a degree but your results are promising, we offer an English Prep School programme, which takes six months or one year. On completion of this, you will not only be ready to join a Bachelor class, but you’ll also have learned a lot about the Netherlands, The Hague and our university.
An IELTS, TOEFL or TOEIC certificate is valid for two years. The certificate must be valid at the start of the academic year.
Please note: The Hague University of Applied Sciences does not accept Institutional TOEFL scores, TOEFL ITP scores or any other language test certificates.
Please note: if you take (or have taken) the TOEFL English proficiency test, please allow The Hague University of Applied Sciences to check your online results to verify your TOEFL certificate. The Institution Code of The Hague University of Applied Sciences is 7042.
Please note: if you completed your prior education in another country than those listed above, but you obtained an American or International High School Diploma or an European or International Baccalaureate Diploma, you might qualify for an exception. Please contact the Enrolment Centre and ask for details.
If you don't meet the minimum entrance requirements, and you are 21 years or older, the Admission Test 21+ offers you the opportunity to still be admitted to the bachelor programme of your choice. Click here for more information on the Admission Test 21+.
