Study Choice Check
If your prior education was in the Netherlands (or Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, St Eustatius or St Maarten) and you have applied for a full time study programme, then you must complete the Study Choice Check. If you have applied to one of the Dutch dual learning programmes HBO-Rechten, Integrale veiligheidskunde en Bestuurskunde/Overheidsmanagement, you must also complete the Study Choice Check.
What is the Study Choice Check?
The Study Choice Check is an online check that assesses the quality of your study choice process. Based on your answers, we will advise you if you have carefully and thoughtfully chosen your study programme, or if it could be helpful for you to think some more about your study choice. In case of doubt, we will give you some suggestions on how to determine if the study programme that you have chosen is right for you.
Can my application be rejected based upon my answers?
Your application will never be rejected based upon your answers. If you meet our admission criteria, you are eligible for enrolment, regardless of the result of your Study Choice Check. We may, however, advise you to reconsider your study choice, in case we doubt if you have deliberately chosen your study programme.
Deadline for completion of the Study Choice Check
You must have completed the Study Choice Check by 31 May 2018 at the latest. The invitation to complete the Study Choice Check will be sent to you within a week after you have submitted your application for admission. Completing the Study Choice Check will take around ten minutes.
How will I receive advice after filling in the Study Choice Check?
After filling in the Study Choice Check, we will send you a report by email.
I have completed the Study Choice Check, and now I have decided that I prefer to enroll in another programme instead. Can I still change my study choice?
Yes, you can. If your first application was submitted via Studielink no later than 1 May 2017, then you may change your study choice until the start of the academic year. Go to apply before 1 May for more information. Please note that if you do so, you will receive another invitation for a Study Choice Check for your new study programme as well.
