Study Choice Check
If your prior education was in the Netherlands and you have applied for a full time study programme or one of the Dutch Dual learning programmes HBO-Rechten, Integrale veiligheidskunde en Bestuurskunde/Overheidsmanagement at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, we will invite you for a Study Choice Check. This is an online check that assesses the quality of your study choice process. Based on your answers, we will help you to evaluate if you have carefully and thoughtfully chosen your study programme, or if it could be helpful for you to think some more about your study choice. In case of doubt, we will give you some suggestions on how to determine if the study programme that you have chosen is right for you.
Do I need to do the Study Choice Check?
The Study Choice Check is mandatory only for students who have completed their prior edcuation in the Netherlands, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, St Eustatius or St Maarten and have applied for a full time study programme, or the Dutch Dual learning programmes HBO-Rechten, Integrale veiligheidskunde en Bestuurskunde/Overheidsmanagement.
When will I receive an invitation for the Study Choice Check?
We will start sending the invitations by email from the second half of March 2016 . Anyone who has prior education in the Netherlands and has applied for a full time study programme before 1 March 2016 will receive an invitation in this week. If you apply after this date, you will receive an invitation by email within a week of your application.
Can my application be rejected based upon my answers, or if I don't take part in the Study Choice Check?
Your appliaction will never be rejected based upon your answers. If you meet our admission criteria, you are eligible for enrolment, regardless of the result of your Study Choice Check. We may, however, advise you to reconsider your study choice, in case we doubt if you have deliberately chosen your study programme.
Please note: if the Study Choice Check is mandatory for you and you do not partake in the Study Choice Check (in time) your application will be rejected.
