The library catalogue
You will always have to log in to the THUAS network whenever you want to consult anything in the collection. This identifies you so that any content can be displayed.
The catalogue lists the items in all of the library’s physical collections (books, journals, CDs and DVDs) along with their location and availability. The catalogue also provides access to some of the e-journals and e-books.
To support students, lecturers and researchers, the library offers a substantial collection of recently published books purchased to meet the needs of users.
The library subscribes to around 500 journals available in physical form. All branch locations have a collection of journals available in physical form. Although the central library does not lend its journals but this service is available at the Delft and Laan van Poot branch locations. All the THUAS libraries provide facilities to copy and scan articles.
Current Contents is a personal journal alert. The library subscribes to around 500 journals. Because keeping up with information published in journals is time-consuming, the library offers a Current Contents Service that lists the latest publications. This service is available only to the staff of The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
DVDs and CD-ROMs
The THUAS Library has an extensive collection of visual material. More than 600 titles are available as DVDs. In the central library, these are located among the books on the ground floor . They can be displayed on any computer. The library also provides access to visual material obtained through databases.
