Using other libraries
Using the TU Delft Library
THUAS students can make use of the TU Delft (Delft University of Technology) Library free of charge; lecturers and staff members pay € 20 per year. TU Delft will make you a library card on presentation of a valid student ID card and a proof of address. You can learn more by going to the TU Delft Library website.
Using the National Library (Koninklijke Bibliotheek)
THUAS students get a 50% discount on their Koninklijke Bibliotheek (KB) membership , so they pay just € 7.50/year. Lecturers/staff members pay € 15/year for a KB membership. To request a card, go to the reception desk at the Koninklijke Bibliotheek and present your ID, a proof of address and your student ID card.
You can learn more by going to the National Library (KB).
Using public libraries
A one-year membership for The Hague Public Library costs students € 10. To obtain this, you will need to present a valid student ID card, a proof of identity and a recent proof of address on a document such as a bank statement or wage slip.
By being a member of your own public library (jeugdpas, basispas, sterpas or vriendenpas), you can borrow from other Dutch public libraries. Just take your library card and a valid proof of identity to a library other than your own, and a library employee at the reception desk will make a library card for you.
