THUAS is much too quiet without you. And we don’t like it at all. Fortunately, some of the restrictions are being lifted. Hopefully we can welcome you back soon with open arms! But in the meantime, make sure you take good care of yourself. In between classes, go out with a fellow student and grab a coffee. Or maybe you prefer to take an online yoga class? To make your life a little easier, we have put together some tips and ideas. This will help you to stay mentally and physically fit! Hang in there!

Tip 1: You'll never walk alone.

WALKWith the HHS Walk by student movement Frisse Gedachtes. Especially in these strange times, it can be nice to go for a walk and chat with someone. That is why we offer you this free opportunity to easily connect with other students in The Hague. The HHS Walk is a collaboration between Frisse Gedachtes and THUAS. Interested in going for a walk? Sign up for free via On the website Frisse Gedachtes you will also find an online platform where you can chat anonymously with students. Frisse Gedachtes offers a listening ear free of charge.

Alles OKA Tip 2: Everything ok? Support line

We can talk about anything. Via you can chat anonymously with volunteers or you can call 0800 - 0450. Especially when things are not going so well. No subject is taboo or off limits.

Trying to get through the pandemic stress-free? The free self-help module from Mirro can assist you with this. You can register here and use the module free of charge.

Panda Tip 4: Relax with De-compress

Clear your mind with the online workshop Ont-Piekeren (translation: stop worrying) by Youz. Learn how to get a handle on your thoughts and discover your assets. This will help you feel more relaxed and less worried. The training starts on 19 May already!

Tip 5: Workout!

During the entire month of May, you can still join online Yoga and Zumba classes! 

Yoga with Noelia, every morning from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 10 am live. Accessible for every level, even if you have never done it before!

Zumba by Nienke, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm live

Prefer to be active outside? All students at THUAS can enjoy free outdoor sports under the guidance of our fitness instructors. Every Monday and Thursday, our trainers prepare a training schedule for you under the trees by the water in front of the entrance to the main building. Or create your own workout and get fit and strong with kettlebells, core bags, battling rope and body pump bars with weights. The number of participants is limited. Email to sign up or register via the sports app.

As soon as we are allowed to exercise indoors again, you can join for free until the end of this academic year! You don't need a sports pass. Keep an eye on the information on the Student Portal or check the sports page. Here you can find all the information on what's available. 


Studentpsychologist Tip 6: Staying mentally fit

The student dean and student psychologist listen to your story and/or your request for help if you get stuck during this period. Do you worry, are you afraid or lonely? Then make an appointment with one of the student counsellors. Or book a one-time support session with one of the student psychologists at short notice .

CampusA Tip 7: Active with Campus

Campus Student Life & Sports has all kinds of things planned for you as soon as we can resume our activities! From a spoken word workshop or painting workshop to a museum visit. Follow Campus on Instagram or Facebook (@campushhs) so you are always up to date on upcoming activities!
