Selection procedure

1.

Application

You can apply for a job via our website. At the bottom of the vacancy you will find a button with a digital application form, in which you can upload your CV and motivation letter.

2.

Confirmation of your application

You will receive an automatic generated confirmation e-mail after you have completed your online application. Did you not receive an email? It is wise to first check your spam filter or your junk mail. Otherwise, please contact Team Resourcing at vacatures@hhs.nl or 070 - 445 86 12.

3. 

Pre-selection

After the closing date of the vacancy we will look at your CV and motivation letter. When we see a sufficient match to our vacancy, we will invite you to the next step in the selection process. In case we don't see a good match, then we will inform you by email and explain the rejection.

4.

Selection interviews

We will invite you for an interview with a number of our colleagues. This may be a manager, recruiter or future colleague. In this interview we would like to get to know you better, but this is also an important moment for you to see if there is a match. During the interview we will discuss with you your knowledge, gained skills through your experience, and development capabilities. If we would like to talk further with you after the first interview, we will invite you for a follow-up interview. The selection procedure usually consists of one or two interviews.

5.

Online Assessment

For specific positions, we may invite you to complete an online assessment. In that case, you will receive an invitation by e-mail. Through the e-assessment we get the opportunity to test your capabilities, personality traits and development ability (Learning Agility). In the follow-up interview we shall discuss the results of this assessment with you.

6.

Request for references

The manager may ask for references as a part of the procedure. We shall first ask you for your permission and contact information. Just to be clear, we will only check references after you have given permission for this.

7.

Employment conditions proposal

If there is a match on all parts, we shall invite you for a meeting to talk about the terms of employment.

8.

Employment contract

Are you going to say yes to The Hague University of Applied Sciences? We look forward to welcoming you as our new colleague! An employment contract will be drawn up on the basis of a change form filled in by the manager with your details and the agreements made. This may take a while. You will receive the documents by post with the request to return the contract signed.
