It was already in line with expectations after the positive panel visit of April 1, 2022, but now the final result has been received. NVAO assesses the quality assurance of THUAS as positive and grants THUAS unconditional recognition of ITK, valid until 9 June 2026.

Proud

The Executive Board is pleased with this confirmation and is especially proud of the steps we have taken together. Elisabeth Minnemann: “It was a valuable process to show how students, teachers, researchers and employees work together on the quality of our education and research every day. By looking back and reflecting together, we can take the lessons learned into the future. I look forward with confidence to how we will jointly implement our new institutional plan”.

Institutional Assessment Quality Audit?

The Institutional Quality Assurance Audit (ITK) is an external assessment to demonstrate, test and, where necessary, improve quality assurance and thus the quality culture within THUAS. Do we do what we say, do we learn from each other, from our successes and our mistakes? And how do we anchor all this in our PDCA cycle? This is necessary to realize our vision on education and research.

ITK and The Hague University of Applied Sciences

After the first visit as part of the ITK, we received the decision from the NVAO on 10 June 2020: 'Positive subject to conditions'. We started working with the two conditions. The faculties and services have ensured that The Hague University of Applied Sciences can also demonstrate a convincing and well-documented track record for standard 2 (policy implementation) and standard 3 (monitoring and evaluation).
On April 1, 2022, the panel visited for the second time. The panel chairman: "The panel compliments THUAS on the energetic implementation of the educational framework, which also continued during the corona pandemic". The panel therefore gave a positive advice to NVAO, the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation. This has now resulted in the definitive award of ITK to THUAS.
