One minute of silence for the freedom of expression
On Monday 2 November, schools throughout Europe will commemorate the assassinated teacher, Samuel Paty. He was murdered on October 16 for using his right to freedom of expression. A heinous act that has been felt by teachers across the world. This Monday at THUAS, we, too, will reflect on the importance of this fundamental human right. We will raise the flag to half mast, and we ask all our staff and students to join us in observing a full minute of silence at 11:00 sharp.
