Deadline for signing up for free One Young World ticket postponed
In October, the 9th edition of the annual One Young World summit (OYW) will take place in The Hague. OYW is an international top summit for young people (18 to 30 years) who together want to make the world a better place. The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) will give six of its students the opportunity to attend this event, by sponsoring their entrance ticket. The deadline for registering for these tickets has been postponed from 20 August to 3 September, 12.00 AM.
It is THUAS’ mission to enable its students to change and improve the world they live in. And that fits seamlessly with the motto of the OYW summit: 'Building a better world'. As The Hague University of Applied Sciences, we don’t just pass up on such an event in our backyard. Not only are we sponsoring six tickets, but we will organize workshops and lectures at our own campus related to the themes the young visitors of the summit will talk about (education, environment, human rights and poverty reduction). Our students can watch live streams of the summit and on Friday evening we will receive 100 OYW participants for a community dinner with 100 THUAS students.
