The Hague University of Applied Sciences and Florida International University both focus on Global Learning. However, the two universities conceptualise Global Learning differently and also use different tools and strategies to achieve it.

This Big Conversation explores the similarities and differences in the two cities. We will discuss the relationship between Global Learning and internationalisation and particularly Internationalisation at home. We will also look at Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) as a shared tool for Global Learning.

Dr. Stephanie Doscher is director of the Office for Global Learning Initiatives at Florida International University and co-author of Making Global Learning Universal: Promoting Inclusion and Success for All Students (2018).

Dr. Jos Beelen is professor of Global Learning at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and a member of the Publications Committee of the European Association for International Education (EAIE).
