The 10th annual One Young World (OYW) summit will be held in London from Tuesday 22 to Friday 25 October. This year, THUAS will be represented at One Young World in London by 8 current students and 3 returning ambassadors.
Building a better world
During the OYW summit, about 1,500 talented young people aged 18 to 30 from over 190 countries will discuss solutions to pressing, worldwide issues. That’s also why the slogan of this summit is ‘Building a Better World’. The international delegates will be supported and inspired by OYW Counsellors, a line-up of today’s leading world leaders and idealists. This year’s line-up includes: Bob Geldof, Doutzen Kroes, Dr. Jane Goodall, Ellie Goulding and Ban Ki-Moon.
The summit will be the place for talented young people who want to change the world to meet and inspire and support each other. The delegates will attend four transformative days filled with talks, panel discussions, networking and workshops. All representatives will have the opportunity to give a keynote speech and share a platform with world leaders in the presence of media from all over the world.
In addition to listening to keynote speakers, representatives will have the opportunity to challenge world leaders. They will also be able to make contacts with influencers who will be attending the summit. After the summit, they will return to their home fronts as OYW Ambassadors and will continue to work on their own or existing initiatives, with the support of the OYW network.
