8th Employer Network Event of the Law degree programme
17 May 2019
10:00 - 19:00
Students and alumni from dozens of different countries, professionals and representatives from leading organisations in the field of peace and law, and representatives from universities around the world will gather on 17 May at the Employer Network Event (ENE) organised by the International and European Law (Law) degree programme at THUAS. National and international experts will speak at this event.
This is the 8th edition since the Law degree programme began organising the Employer Network Event. What started out as a small initiative designed to help students and upcoming graduates connect with prominent employers in the legal field, has grown into a major annual event. Over the years, more than 200 organisations and universities from around the world have participated in the event, ranging from legal organisations to NGOs, embassies, EU institutions and local governments.
THUAS lecturer Aurelien Lorange was instrumental in establishing the Network Event eight years ago. “This event not only provides our students with an opportunity to meet students from other countries, but it also allows them to explore the possibilities of an internship or a career with a leading legal organisation. We wanted to create opportunities for talented law students and for students in other degree programmes, such as European Studies.” This year, the event will once again host a comprehensive ‘job fair’ where students and graduates can meet recruiters from over forty companies. There will also be numerous workshops and training sessions on all aspects of employability.
But ENE2019 is much more than a job fair. The event also builds bridges between The Hague University of Applied Sciences, other knowledge institutions and legal organisations from around the world. Existing partnerships are strengthened and new opportunities for international partnerships for the IEL degree programme will be explored. There will also be numerous informative sessions presented by international speakers and panel discussions.
The various activities of the event will take place between 10 am and 7 pm on Friday 17 May at the main campus of the Hague University of Applied Sciences.
