In short

Time:

Location:

The lectoraat Multilevel Regulation will kick off with an interactive event to understand new trends regarding the increasing role of dispute resolution in our everyday lives and in the public sphere.

Why are negotiation, mediation, and arbitration increasingly popular? Why should we get ahead of this trend? Can we learn from informal dispute resolution to improve the public regulation of our lives? To address these and many other questions, the kick off will bring together academics, legal practitioners, representatives of The Hague municipality, and students to discuss new approaches to research, education, and public dissemination in the field of informal dispute resolution.

The kick off will feature panel discussions, interactive workshops, and two keynote addresses by Professor Sandrine Clavel, Director of the MA in Arbitration and Commerce, Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Mr. Michael McIlwrath, Global Litigation Counsel, Baker Hughes (GE).
