The future of free movement in stormy times

In short

21 November 2017

12:30 - 18:15

Main campus, OV 3.37

This event organized by The Hague University of Applied Sciences and the University of Oslo will discuss the future of free movement vis-à-vis the formidable challenges that it is facing.

The free movement of all factors of production constitutes the core of the European integration process. Unsurprisingly, free movement law is the foundational stone of EU law. Most of the concepts that nowadays are associated with the constitutional identity of the EU have been developed in the context of free movement law. Developments taking place
in the field of free movement law are therefore often regarded, and rightly so, as the litmus test for the progressive development of EU law at large.
