Insurance

Students at The Hague University of Applied Sciences are obliged to have a liability (=third party) insurance as well as health insurance. Students applying for an entry visa through The Hague University of Applied Sciences will automatically be covered by the “Insurance passport for Students” (IPS). This insurance takes care of health and liability insurance and it household goods as well. The cost of this insurance is € 36,50 per month. If you do not apply for an entry-visa through us, you are obliged to make sure your insurance suffices. We advice you to use IPS as well ( http://www.ips-lippmann.com/ )

Please be aware that liability and health insurances do not cover you against theft of your household goods. Lippmann, the company that offers IPS, offers a basic version of this insurance as well: IPS-basic. This insurance covers liability insurance as well as theft of household goods. Exchange students who do not manage to show the International Office that they are covered for liability before their arrival in The Hague will be covered for liability by us, at the cost of € 16,-- per semester.
