About The Hague University

The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THU) is one of the most diverse universities in the Netherlands with students and staff from more than 146 different countries. Our position in The Hague, the seat of government of the Netherlands and an international hub for justice and law, means that we have strong links with many global organisations and companies.

The Netherlands has two main types of higher education institutions - universities of applied sciences and research universities. THU is a university of applied sciences, which means that we offer hands-on and vocational subjects, which mix theory and practice. Our professionally focused courses bridge the gap from the classroom to the workplace by offering ‘real life’ projects with close links to industry and businesses.
