Safety and Security Management Studies is aimed to train you to be a professional, harness your academic insights and channel them into the public governance of safety and security, without losing sight of the importance of the citizens you will be serving.
Safety and Security Management Studies sets standards for professionalism. These are defined in the competencies that students develop throughout the modules. Each module has a clear set of learning goals. At the end of the module students are tested along these goals.
Students are also invited to test the learning environment on the basis of the question: “Were you offered the opportunity to develop the set of competencies?” In other words, students have an input in developing quality in education. This is also an element of the learning process.
