The Hague University             Bachelor Studies

Costs

Here’s a guide to what you can expect to spend on your Bachelor’s course – the degree itself, as well as materials and living expenses while you’re studying here.

Tuition fees

The tuition fees for subsidized education are determined by the Dutch Ministry of Education. To (re-)enroll tuition fees should be transferred first. You can pay by bank in one or more instalments. If you are paying in more than one instalment administration costs will be charged.

Study materials

Expect to spend a total of around €600 on books, handouts and other materials. Your Foundation Year costs are usually higher, as you’re buying the books you’ll need for the whole programme. You’ll probably find that you’ll spend around €75 on materials in your first few weeks.

Visa and residence permit

Students from the EU/EEA, Switzerland, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Vatican City, Monaco or South Korea do not need to apply for a visa before coming to The Netherlands. Students coming from all other countries are obliged to apply for an MVV (entry-visa) before entering The Netherlands. This application procedure may take up to eight months. The Hague University of Applied Sciences offers students to apply for the MVV on their behalf, which shortens the procedure considerably.

More information about the visa and residence permit procedures will be sent to you after evaluation of your diplomas.
