Public Management

Developing policy, motivating people and problem solving. Does this sound appealing to you? If so, the International Public Management study programme at The Hague University may well be the perfect programme for you.

We train people to take on professional positions on the policy or management level for solving contemporary issues in a national and international context. These issues are often complex matters that demand finding a balance between major and contrasting interests: environmental problems, peace and security, integration, managing public space, public transport and other international, political themes.

Sound abstract? International Public Management is actually highly practical, with a large proportion of the teaching comprising team projects in which you are asked to solve existing problems. The second half of the study programme consists of ‘learning on the job’ in either a work placement or a real job in a real organisation.
