Candidate profile
As an IBMS student, you’ll have a challenging and rewarding three or four years, depending on the length of the programme being followed – from working and studying abroad, to intense projects and teamwork. Ambition, open-mindedness and a passion for international business are all obvious prerequisites. But what really makes a successful IBMS student?
An interest in an international business career
A lot of people train in business or management studies. But exams and lectures don’t necessarily prepare you for working internationally. You must have an interest - not only in business practices - but law, financial procedures and tax rules.
We’ll make sure you get a working knowledge of finance, marketing and economics, along with language skills you will need.
An interest in different cultures
The IBMS department is made up of people from over 90 different nationalities. You’ll get lots of experience working with people of different cultures and customs.
A flair for languages
The programme is taught entirely in English, so you’ll need a good working knowledge of the English language. You’ll also have the possibility to study another European language.
A head for figures
A basic competence in mathematics and statistics is essential.
A sense of adventure
You need to be a driven person, ready to take the initiative when it comes to your career – one that could take you far from home. You must be prepared to plan your own work experience and exchange programmes.
