International & European Law

Bachelor of Law

The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) International & European Law programme prepares you for a wide variety of international careers in international, multinational or governmental organisations, firms or NGOs. With a strong focus on legal training in an international environment, the programme boosts your ability to analyse legal problems from an international perspective and helps you embrace new ways of critical thinking. And being situated in the International City of Peace, Justice and Security, what more inspiring place could there be to study international law than The Hague University of Applied Sciences?

The International & European Law programme was launched in 2007, and our first students graduated in 2011. Since then, many of our alumni have proceeded to Master programmes at other universities, for example at Maastricht University, Utrecht University, and Queen Mary’s University (London). We are proud to say that we have alumni currently studying at both Cambridge University and Oxford University in the UK. Other alumni have accepted job positions with international organisations and companies, for example the Constitutional Court of South Africa, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Ernst & Young, ING, and many more.

Our students come from approximately fifty different countries. Our lecturers come from over fifteen different countries, representing most major legal systems. Currently, more than 550 students (years 1-4) are studying International & European Law at THUAS.
