Registration days

Please see below for information on exchange programmes.

Bachelor, Master and Prep School programmes

The Registration Days are for students who do not currently live in The Netherlands and/or have a non-Dutch diploma. These students have to hand in the following documents on one of the Registration Days at the beginning of the academic year:

  • If you have a non-Dutch diploma:

    • Was your diploma issued in the European Union or in Aruba, Bonaire or CuraƧao? Please send us certified copies of your diploma and grades list by 15 August the latest. These copies may be sent to: The Hague University, attn. Enrolment Centre, P.O. Box 13336, 2501 EH The Hague, The Netherlands. If you do not have certified copies, please show us your original diploma and grades list at the Registration Day (please bring both the originals and copies). If you did not take English as an examination subject, please bring a valid IELTS or TOEFL certificate as well.
    • Was your diploma issued outside the European Union? Please show us your original diploma and grades list at the Registration Day (please bring both the originals and copies). If your secondary education was not in English, please bring a valid IELTS or TOEFL certificate as well (if you haven't sent it to us yet).
  • If The Hague University has arranged your entry visa:
    • Please bring your original passport and a copy of the visa sticker in your passport.
  • If you have found accommodation in The Hague (contrary to what the Guide for International Students says, this also applies to DUWO tenants):
    • Please bring a copy of your Dutch tenancy agreement (if you rent a room or an apartment) or a filled-out Approval of Co-Inhabitation form and a copy of the main tenant's passport (if you live with a relative, for example).
    • Please bring a copy of your passport (make copies of the pages that contain your personal details and your signature).

The Registration days take place in the Foyer of the main building of The Hague University. The Foyer is located underneath the auditorium.

Exchange programmes

The Registration Days are for all new arriving exchange students. These students have to hand in the following documents on one of the Registration Days at the beginning of the academic year:

  • If The Hague University has arranged your entry visa:
    • Please bring your original passport and a copy of the visa sticker in your passport.
  • If The Hague University has arranged your residence permit and you have found accommodation in The Hague:
    • Please bring a copy of your Dutch tenancy agreement (if you rent a room or an apartment) or a filled-out Approval of Co-Inhabitation form and a copy of the main tenant's passport (if you live with a relative, for example)
    • Please bring a copy of your passport (make copies of the pages that contain your personal details and your signature).
  • If you have arranged accommodation through Duwo
    • Please bring a copy of your Dutch tenancy agreement
    • Please bring a copy of your passport (make copies of the pages that contain your personal details and your signature).
